The Role of Nanotechnology in the Clinical Laboratory
Nanotechnology is a term widely used today that describes man’s ability to control the manufacture of functional “nanosystems”, or to deliberately create structures at the nano scale that exhibit unique properties. This lecture provides a basic understanding of the concepts underlying nanotechnology, and describes how materials function differently at the nano level compared with the macro scale.
