The Masters Golf Preview
Tiger Woods is listed as the 7-5 favorite for The Master’s golf tournament this year. Last year Tiger had to settle for second place losing to Zach Johnson by two strokes. You think Zach can win on back to back years well you can get 50-1 odds on that happening. Fat chance! Tiger Woods dropped his last tournament two weeks ago at the WGC Championship at Doral and finished two shots behind winner Geoff Ogilvy. Tiger is looking for his first Green Jacket in three years and has 4 wins at The Masters and 13 Majors overall. There is no doubt Tiger created talk about a Grand Slam after posting on his website that is within reason that he could capture all 4 Majors in one year. Tiger isn't backing down from this statement and at 32 years old Tiger may only have about 5 more years to realistically have a shot at the Grand Slam before he hits the wrong side of 30. I really think he has a 5-year window to accomplish a Grand Slam title and he will do it within the next 5 years. Tiger Woods is #1 this year in greens hit in regulation at just under 75% and #1 on the tour this year with Birdies per round. Phil Mickelson had his putter go array on the greens at Houston last week that many say are similar to the greens at Augusta. Geoff Ogilvy hasn't broken a round of 70 in 8 rounds over the course. Tiger Woods will begin his quest for a Grand Slam in 2008 with success by taking The Master's. Play Tiger Woods at 7-5.
