Digital Tipping Point: Mandriva CEO Jean Francois Boncilhon 03 (2005)
This is one of many short video segments which will be added to the Digital Tipping Point (DTP) archive. In this particular segment, Jean Francois finishes his sentence from the previous snip, which he ends by saying that 45% of MandrakeSoft’s revenues (at that time) were from North America. Here, he says that 20% of revenues came from France; 20% from the rest of Europe; and 15% from the rest of the world. He says that it is important for proprietary software to co-habitate with open souce software, and vice versa, and that businesses selling into this industry need to deploy models using both types of software.
