Violence in North-Western China – Why Uighurs Exiled in Germany are Worried
The Chinese government is cracking down. Reports from China suggest security forces brutally put down Muslim protests in the western province of Xinjiang. More than 140 people are reported killed.China places the blame on Uigurs living abroad. It says they instigated the protests. The Uigur exile movement in Munich is desperately trying to get information on the uprising and to make their protests against the Chinese government heard.
