Admiral Hyman Rickover
Father of the Nuclear Navy. Admiral Rickover was a perfectionist with a temper less stable than any of the reactors he installed in America’s fleet of submarines and aircraft carries. To this day he is a legend. Until 1982, every officer seeking appointment to the nuclear propulsion program in the Navy was required to do an interview with him before being approved.
