North Church - Boston
One of the highlights of Boston’s Freedom Trail is the Old North Church, where Paul Revere got his signal that the British were approaching Boston during the Revolutionary War. High atop the Episcopal Church, also known as Christ Church, sits the highest steeple in Boston, and it is Boston's oldest church building. Sexton Robert Newman sent his famous signal, "One if by land, two if by sea," from the 191-foot steeple to Revere. Poet Henry Longfellow made Revere famous in his poem, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere," and Theodore Roosevelt once visited Northchurch. The Freedom Trail and the Old North Church were among the favorite Boston attractions for www.CheapFamilyTravelTips.com.
