Andy Irons Memorial on Newsfeed - A report was released today stating that former surfing champion Andy Irons had several drugs in his system, including xanax, methadone and cocaine when he died of a heart attack in a Dallas hotel room. So he took a few drugs… Have you ever seen the waves he was riding? They were terrifying.   On Nov. 14th, 2 weeks after he passed away, 5,000 people paddled out in the ocean off the coast of Hawaii to remember the 3 time world surfing champion. My run at a surf championship was ended prematurely because of rules stating that competitors are not allowed to wear water wings… and I guess you have to actually stand on the board too. That’s why I am not a professional surfer… too many technicalities.
