Desert H2Ouse (2001)
Conceived as a critique of traditional architectural ''flythroughs'' and perhaps a glimpse into the future of online environments, this short film documents the investigation of an abandoned house from multiple points of view. The ''handheld'' camera movement was accomplished through four layers of motion capture data via the mouse. The house was designed and modeled in form-Z, animation in 3ds max, and rendering in mental ray. AfterEffects and Combustion were used for compositing and graphics.
