Travel guide publisher Lonely Planet announced the launch of Lonely Planet TV, a video sharing site for travelers and fans of its books. Lonely Planet will organize the videos they receive into six channels, including one for their well-known Bluelist of travel recommendations.Lonely Planet TV includes the usual features for online video sharing. People can post, rate, and subscribe to videos. Since their emphasis is on travel, people on the go can upload videos from their mobile devices. Visitors to the website can find videos through channels, search, or on a Google-powered map showing where in the world videos have been filmed.
