Just like VW with its BlueMotion variants, since 2008 Volvo has also been offering its owen line of especially eco-friendly models. The stingy machines are called DRIVe. The targets are ambitious: Volvo aims to produce zero-emissions cars.But before the plug-in hybrid arrives in 2012, the path to less consumption leads through more efficient engines. Volvo has presented seven new, especially economical diesel models. Among them, the C30 diesel has the lowest emissions. It’s supposed to use only 3.8 liters per 100 km and emit 99 grams of CO2.
