No need to merge technology
One common theme in the torrent of exchange consolidation in the last couple of weeks has been technology. Donal Byrne, chief executive of Corvil, a trade performance monitoring group, says exchanges are now competing on infrastructure, liquidity and speed. He adds there is no need to merge merger partners technology because having two systems offers greater diversity and consequently opportunity for traders.
