Despite the last battle right before them, Sonic and the others look quite cheerful.  Double-Triple O finally comes into view. Right ahead of them is Planet Acryleus with the Chaos Emerald and a gigantic Planet Egg. The Metarex fleet counter-attack them. The first to fight them are the heavenly kings, Black Narcissus and Pale Bay Leaf. Sonic and the others sally forth on each of their fighter crafts. In the midst of the battle, Shadow and Team Chaotix suddenly come warping out, and charge into the mother ship. The violent battle transforms into a confound conflict, and yet into a rough-and-tumble fight.
