Martin Stringer interviews New Democrat MP Pat Martin and Winnipeg high school student Samuel Unrau about the latter’s winning proposal for a private member’s bill on improving accessibility options for federally-regulated transportation. Also: Former prime minister Paul Martin delivers a speech to the Empire Club in Toronto and speaks with reporters. Gen. Walter Natynczyk, Canada’s chief of defence staff, addresses CANSEC 2010, an Ottawa trade show for security and defence contractors. Natynczyk also took questions from the media. Industry Minister Tony Clement and Heritage Minister James Moore announce plans to modernize the federal Copyright Act.
