Does Google have a sinister Master Plan to invade the privacy of us all? A new video on YouTube called “The Google Master Plan” plays like a Nazi propaganda film making the case that we should fear Google’s reach and power. It begins by showing puppeteer strings and with an ominous sounding voice says, “What began as a former students project now rules the World Wide Web”. Later, the video voice over states with even more intensity … “Google can create incredibly detailed dossiers on everyone of us”. The video ends with a not-so innocent question .. “What do you think, Does Google really worry about our privacy?” If this video isn’t a joke then Microsoft level paranoia is really starting to hit Google. Take a look at the video and let me know what you think.In this episode of As The Web Turns blogger Robert Scoble writes a post saying Techmeme has a bug because it highlights blog posts from bloggers that are simply linking to other blog posts that first blogged a story. Got that … well I continue … The example Scoble used was of a post by Duncan Riley who blogged about a story first written by others. Riley took Scoble’s comments very personal and asked Scoble (if he should) not (be) allowed to report of these things because his last name isn’t Scoble? Then, Riley laid this juicy accusation on the table, “…Given your choice of one particular friend I’m not really surprised you’re targeting me, of course the gutless wonder wouldn’t have the balls to do it himself, knives in the back are much more easier after all, and attack by proxy makes sense.” Who is this friend? Scoble himself denies knowledge and insists that he simply thought Techmeme would be better if original sources of stories were linked to more prominently.
