I’ve been told those who cannot learn from their past are doomed to repeat it. Day in and day out I am relegated to this chore. Why I do this is unclear, but all I know is that I must, or I can't ever find peace. The price I pay for being "special with a gift to give". Someday I will find myself in a situation that I've been in before, will I have the presence of mind to do what's right, when I don't know wrong? Only time will tell. I just won't be listening.
