Wednesday, April 20, 2011- There were 14 girls from the Girls Inc. South Dallas Campus who attended the bridal cover shoot for the June edition of The Texas Wedding Guide. The girls, ages 7-14, were selected to participate in this exciting event as a reward for their hard work around the campus. The girls saw how the DG Publishing staff worked the photo shoot, and saw the model wear four different wedding gowns. They learned how hair, makeup, and accessories can change the look of the gown. The girls got to experience both sides of the camera by shooting their own pictures, and then having their picture taken with the photographer, model, and DG Publishing staff.DG Publishing, which produces both the Design Guide and The Texas Wedding Guide, first began volunteering with the girls from our South Dallas Campus through EFNT’s Freedom Day in September 2010. Since then, the girls have learned about careers in publishing, and have even toured the DG offices to see how a magazine is produced.
