Indian Beach is a bayfront residential community in northern Sarasota County, rich with history. For thousands of years, American Indians settled in this area as evidenced by the shell mounds and prehistoric Indian remains found in the area. Some of the first settlers from up north began to arrive in the 1920’s, including John and Mable Ringling. The area flourished and has become one of Sarasota's most distinguished neighborhoods.
