Thanksgiving Travel Tips - Air Fees
Airplane ticket prices have gone through the roof as gas prices have fluctuated so much this year, and that has led many people to cancel trips they might have taken any other year. This means that for many people, flying home for Thanksgiving will be the first time they’ve traveled in 2008... which is why I'm here with an important travel advisory. It's not just on the ticket prices that airlines are charging more... many of the services that were once included along with your ticket are now separate charges. Most airlines now charge a fee for just one checked bag, and higher fees if you check more than one bag. Some airlines that once provided free meals now charge for airplane food, while others even charge travelers for headphones, pillows, and blankets. If you haven't traveled this year, you might be in for some nasty... and expensive... surprises when you fly home for the holidays. Check out the websites for the airline you are going to travel with to find out their new policies and added fees... and maybe think about packing a little lighter to save a bit of money this year. I'm Liesel Hlista for TravelWishTV.com. Keep watching for more holiday travel tips.
