Pakistan: Two liberal voices silenced forever
Less than two months after the assassination of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, Pakistan’s Minister of Minority Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti was shot down in Islamabad yesterday. Both men were strong advocates of reforming Pak’s blasphemy law - liberal voices that have now been silenced forever in the country’s shrinking public space.
