NS-MO AMBULANCE CRASH
Shot 07/08/2011.## Wire/StoryDescription: (Fair Play, MO) — One person is dead and four more are injured following a head-on crash of an ambulance and a dump truck. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday along Highway 32, one mile east of Fair Play in Polk County. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a CoxHealth ambulance out of Dade County transporting a cardiac patient was headed eastbound. At least three cars slowed down to yield to the oncoming ambulance. A dump truck, heading west, was unable to stop and fish-tailed into the path of the ambulance, hitting it head on. Four helicopters were lifted to the scene. The Patrol says the patient being transported was the victim. At least three of the four injuries appeared serious. Several agencies worked the accident: the Highway Patrol re-routed traffic as it reconstructs the accident at the scene. Station Notes/Scripts: ##
