10 Begin a Research Log, 10 of 26
The 26 Ancestors Instructional modules teach you the 5-Step Research process you can use again and again to discover your family history.  This segment , "Begin a Research Log" (# 3.4) is the last part of Step 2, "Decide What You Want to Learn." Step 2 may be the most critical step in the process. This step focuses your search on one person one question at a time. When you have a clearly defined question you will more clearly understand the best possibe source of information to search for the answer. There are a variety of forms you can use in your research including: Family Group Records, Pedigree Charts, Source Notes, Research Logs and Research Questions. These forms are available online from a several sources at no charge including, www.ancestors.com.
