消費陷阱無處不在，最常見的營商七宗罪有：誤導商品說明；以虛假或誤導說明，誘使消費者購買價值不符的貨品或服務。廣告誤導；廣告聲稱甚麼科學證據、效用超卓，但往往有誇大之言。威脅性手法；推銷員以騷擾手法來推銷。餌誘式銷售；聲稱貨品以特惠價出售，但店內根本無貨。另外，還有預繳式服務、不公平合約條款及資訊不足等問題。
