Yousef in Mexico City
We’re back with international Scouser Yousef, this time in Mexico City. Never short of a few words, Yos tells us about his recent love of rekordbox and longer love of Tequila. Founder of the infamous Circus night in Liverpool, he compares the UK scene to that of the flourishing scene of South America and the worldwide impact of David Guetta. Since winning the seminal Bedroom Bedlam Musik magazine DJ competition in the late 90s (alongside an unknown James Zabiela) Yousef went on to secure a worldwide reseidency for Ministry of Sound; missing home he then went on to bag a residency at Liverpool's Cream. After presenting on BBC Radio 1 he now produces for untouchable labels such as Coocoon, Renaissance, Intec, Saved and Harthouse as well as holding down a Space Ibiza residency for Mr Revolution himself - Carl Cox. Oh, and he played and hosted the 500th Essential Mix at Circus with Sasha, Aeroplane Pete Tong and Richie Hawtin. (Subtitles in Spanish)
