The video, directed by Steve Barron, uses heavy rotoscoping. It begins as a blonde young woman (played by actress Bunty Bailey) is in a London coffee shop, reading a comic book about competitive motorcycle racing. The single reached number-one in 36 countries and is one of the world’s best-selling singles of all time with 8-9 million copies sold, hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. It also hit number two in the UK and number one in a-ha's native Norway. The video was nominated for Best Video at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 5, 1986.
