Alice, at Runo’s family diner, hopes to come clean about her connection to Hal-G. But instead ends up battling off would be suitors while trying to get the ball rolling with a troubled Runo.  Meanwhile Dan recalls the last battle he had with Shun, in which Shun used Dan to stall for time while his mom's in the hospital. The game turns into to more of an internal battle for Shun as he fights the eventual fate of having to go live with his stern Grandpa once the game ends. The battle finally finishes at an inconclusive standstill and Shun returns to his mother's bedside. Only to be rewarded with a Bakugan from his mom and a sever grounding from his Grandpa. A punished and repentant Shun steps away from the game but not for long as he becomes an easy target for Masquerade.
