Nico geht zum Schein auf Bergers Forderungen ein, trägt sein Perlen-Collier und macht mit ihm einen nächtlichen Spaziergang durch den Schlosspark. Philipp wird zufällig Zeuge und glaubt, Nico habe eine Affäre mit Berger. Er bekommt nicht mehr mit, wie Nico sich Bergers Kette angewidert vom Hals reißt und verzweifelt ins Schloss läuft. Und schon gar nicht, als Nico vor dem offenen Tresor steht, in dem eine Pistole liegt.
