The Sergio Rossi woman is ready for battle this season. Among creative director Francesco Russo’s arsenal of sculptural female body armour presented in Milan, there was everything from brass breastplates, torso shields and ankle guards to cuffs, collars and spike-heeled leather boots. The hand-pounded brass gave a nod to François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, while exotic snake skins, and flashes of red, orange and electric blue echoed Amazonian goddesses.
