Native Americans also hit by economic downturn
Hozhoni Days is among the first pow wows of the season, and it’s one of the largest student-run Pow Wows in the US with an average attendance of over 3,000 people. Pow wows are a Native American tradition from the plains of the Midwest, and are now greatly accepted by many tribes. But hard economic times have taken a bite out of the pow wow circuit.
