Cades Cove Tennessee
Footage shot in late May 2008. Black Bears were very numerous for the 17 Year Cicada emergence. They ate the insects as though they were chocolate covered raisins. Never have I seen as many large adult Black Bears in Cades Cove. A very interesting phenomenon. Cades Cove is an extinct farming community located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A few structures are still located in the area, such as cabins from the 1800’s. Cades Cove is know for it's wildlife, specifically White-tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, and Black Bear.
