Baz Luhrmanns Chanel No. 5 commercial reunited Luhrmann and his Moulin Rouge star, Nicole Kidman, in one of the most expensive and elaborate advertisements of all time. It was screened in several countries around the world during 2004, 2005 and 2006. Initially screened in many North American cinemas during the Coming Attractions, during the 2006 Christmas Season an edited 30-second TV spot was shown on primetime on many networks in Canada and the U.S. Nicole Kidman was given $12 million for being in the commercial.
