Regarded as a major innovator in the field of dance,Taiwanese choreographer Lin Hwai-min is known throughout the world for his blend of modern and traditional Chinese dance elements. His Cloud Gate Dance Theater receives rapturous acclaim wherever they perform. Dance Europe Magazine nominated Lin Hwai-min Choreographer of the 20th Century and Time Magazine dubbed him Hero of Asia. Now Lin Hwai-min is being honored for his lifetime achievement by this years International Movimentos Dance Festival. ARTS.21 visited Lin Hwai-min in his hometown of Taipei.
