2011 World War II Weekend - Morning Warbird Flights
Morning Flying 2011World War II Weekend Reading Regional Airport/Carl A. Spaatz Field Reading, Pennsylvania Sunday June 5, 2011 Before the opening ceremonies and before the airshow portion of World War II Weekend takes place, well over a dozen and a half sorties are flown by a wide variety of aircraft - most notably a PT-17 Stearman, a PT-23 Cornell, a B-25 Mitchell, B-17 Flying Fortress, P-51D Mustang, SBD Dauntless, SB2C Helldiver, and even a B-29 Superfortress all fly multiple sorties for one single purpose - taking paying customers for a flight in the aircraft of their choice. This video shows takeoffs, low approaches, and landings of maybe one-half of all of the ride flights. The way I look at it, this is just bonus video. I apologize for the black or white blips in the video, as I have yet to figure out what causes it. If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve’s Airshow World at www.stevesairshow.com .
