Town of Woodbury Meeting 2-2-10
The Town of Woodbury met in regular monthly session, everyone was present. They approved the minutes from the January 5 meeting. They approved a request by the Woodbury Pentecostal Church to use the Dillon Park for an Easter egg hunt April 3. They approved the Cancer Society to use the Dillon Park May 21 for the annual Relay of Life. They approved a roadblock permit for Mrs. Tom Dillard’s daughter, who lives in Atlanta, to solicit money to participate in a walkathon in Atlanta for breast cancer awareness. Alan Paschal presented bids on the signs which were rather expensive per the board and Mayor Patrick appointed a committee to study and get bids from rock layers, since Paschal stated that was the most expensive part of the sign. They were talking about putting one sign in the middle of the park that could be seen from South McCrary Street. Chief Johnston reported on the new fire truck and brought it to the meeting so everyone could see, stating it was delivered last Saturday and had already been on 4 fire runs. No one else had any reports, it was over in 25 minutes.
