Shabnum is a senior urban planner with the Government of Punjab. She holds two Master’s degrees, one in City and Regional Planning from UET and Hariot-Watt University, Lahore, Pakistan and the other in Environmental Management & Development from the Australian National University, in Canberra. She has formulated several policies and regulatory frameworks as well as institutional development initiatives in Pakistan. At MIT she is interested in strategic policy reform.
