Peacocks in Maharashtra face extinction
As 19 districts of Maharshtra struggle with a drought-like situation, it’s not just farmers who are bearing the brunt. Peacocks in the Naigaon Peacock Sanctuary in Beed district are also struggling for survival. Already the bird count there has fallen by 2000 in the last decade and now with water drying up, the peacocks face an uncertain future.
