プロ野球ドラフト会議 6球団が菊池雄星投手を1位指名する中、西武が交渉権獲得
プロ野球ドラフト会議が29日に行われ、2009年の目玉、岩手・花巻東高校の菊池雄星投手(18)は、6球団が1位指名する中、埼玉西武ライオンズが交渉権を獲得した。菊池投手は「やっとスタートラインに立てたので、ほっとしています」、「一日でも早く投げられる、戦力になれるように、一生懸命練習したいと思います。すべてにおいてレベルアップしていかなければ勝てないと思うので」と語った。
