Total Hip Resurfacing
Young, active patients whose lives are impacted by arthritis pain may be candidates for a procedure called total hip resurfacing arthroplasty. UW Medicine orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Jason Weisstein specializes in this bone-sparing alternative to hip replacement. It allows patients to return to most of their activities, while leaving enough bone intact for a total replacement later in life, if need be.
