Lilburn PD Seeks Help in Credit Card Fraud
Lilburn Police need help finding a man they believe stole the numbers off a credit card from a St. Louis Missouri woman. Deputy Chief Bruce Hedley with the Lilburn Police Department spoke with GBC Reporter Laura Halm and says: ?That credit card that our victim has is actually a state issued credit card that is primarily used to provide child support payments every month.? According to investigators, the suspect uses the re-encoded credit card to buy gift cards. They believe the suspect is local and perhaps even feels comfortable because, he has strolled into places like? ?The Kroger in Duluth, the Walmart here in Lilburn, and he?s also used those gift cards that he purchased at Walmart and cashed them in at a different Walmart in Conyers.? Anyone with information should call Detective Jeff Kinney with the Lilburn Police Department at (770) 638-2182.
