鍾惠玲：「我生大兒子的時候，曾經引發紅斑狼瘡病，那是家族遺傳病，但是我本身有一個信念：明天會更好，一天會比一天好。終於可以康復，那段時間我進出醫院很多次，我看到其他病患者，他們都很缺乏支援，所謂天助自助者，助人者自助，這個很重要，一定要自己幫自己，周圍的人也盡量去幫其他人。我病了三年多，開始康復的時候，我就成立了再生會，憑著一個信念：我們盡量燃燒自己，照亮他人。我總覺得我們要有盼望，凡事都要抱著樂觀積極的態度，盡量去幫其他人，每個人都出一分力，我們的生活會更精彩。」
