This panel discussion focuses on the implications and applications for patient safety, biomedical ethics and the biotechnology industry from the report, 'Priority Areas for Nation Action,' recently released by the Institutes of Medicine (IOM). IOM commissioned the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research to identify 15 priorities for the development of action plans in an effort to achieve substantial improvement.
