France’s financial watchdog began hearings on Monday into insider trading allegations against more than a dozen current and former executives of European aerospace giant EADS. Former EADS co-chairman Noel Forgeard said he was "serene" as he arrived at the hearing and certain his lawyers would prove he had not misused inside information when he made huge profits selling stock options in 2006. He and 16 others are accused of rushing to sell off their stakes because they knew EADS' share price would slump when production delays at the company's key Airbus A380 project were officially announced.
