iReport — Here are some video highlights of my last trip to Dubai.  It’s VERY different from other middle-eastern cities and you can clearly see an attempt to embrace western-style culture while trying to maintain it's own identity. The people were friendly but it was also clear there's a divide between the haves and have nots.  There's also an excess number of construction projects that left me wondering why they needed yet another 80 or 90 story skyscraper when Dubai already had surplus office space in other buildings sitting there unfilled and unused.The bottom line:  a fascinating place if for all the right...and wrong reasons.
