新型人類感染豬流感襲港，港府以對付沙士及禽流感的級別處理疫情：封鎖酒店，追蹤疑似患者，勒令全港小學停課，提早放暑假。但事後孔明地看，豬流感病毒輕微，全球死亡率0.4%，有別於沙士的一成及禽流感的六成，甚至比季節性流感的死亡率更低。有意見指，港府是用大砲轟蒼蠅，抗疫措施不夠科學；亦有意見稱，處理危機要過猶不及。問題是流感病毒不斷變種，港府制訂抗疫政策時，對病毒的認識和掌握有多少？翻查資料顯示，五月初，當本港用非常手段處理疫情時，世衛及美國疾控中心，對豬流感病毒已有若干發現，以致部分歐美國家採取較寬鬆的防疫措施。日後再有疫情，衛生部門又應以何種態度處理？
