China Cuts Off Internet Access After Riots
China blocked Internet access in Xinjian province and shut down Twitter nationwide on Monday after ethnic riots in the western province killed at least 140 people. Twitter became inaccessible in China around 3 p.m. local time Monday, leaving users with a time-out page. Outside of China the service is buzzing with news of the riots. However, some dramatic footage made it out of the country and onto YouTube.
