政改方案全套獲通過 曾蔭權形容是歷史時刻
立法會在46票對12票，超過三分二議員支持下，通過2012年立法會選舉的決議案，令全套政改方案獲通過，是回歸以來，首次成功啟動修改政制的程序。 行政長官曾蔭權形容，今日是歷史時刻，希望撕裂和仇恨成為過去。 有反對政改的示威者衝出馬路抗議；至於支持的陣營，則有高官站台。 港澳辦表示，中央政府樂於見到政改方案獲通過，顯示香港各界努力的成果。
