Bhalobasa Bhalobasa was released on1985 Bengali film starring Tapas Pal, Debasree Roy, Madhabi Mukherjee, Satya Banerjee, Utpal Dutta, Anup Kumar, Santu Mukherjee, Sumitra Mukherjee, Shakti Thakur, Ruma Guhathakurta. The story is as Arup (Tapas Pal), son of famous singer Pratima Devi (Madhabi Mukerjee), is also a talented singer. But he stops singing after his mother dies of cancer. Once at a college function he meets a college student, Keya (Debasree Roy) and falls in love with her. During her vacations, Keya goes home to Shimultala and Arup goes there to meet her. However, Keya’s father Biswambhar Babu has already arranged her marriage with Animesh. In this dramatic situation, Abanibabu, Animesh's father, makes his entry. Arup recognises him as his father too, who had ditched his mother.
