アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレスで26日、サッカーリーグの名門チームが、2部リーグに転落したことから、ファンの一部が暴徒化する騒ぎがあった。路上に火が放たれ、車や商店のガラスが割られるなど、無法地帯と化したアルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス。暴動のさなかで、人々の多くが号泣していた。通りすがりの人に、当たり散らしている人もいた。号泣の理由は、アルゼンチンサッカーリーグの名門「リバープレート」が、110年間のクラブ史上、初めて2部リーグに転落したため。ファンの一部が、その屈辱と悲しみのあまり、暴徒化した。警察が出動して、放水車や催涙ガスで鎮圧にかかったが、ファンたちの感情の高ぶりは、しばらく収まることはなかった。
