汶川地震災區內，很多城鎮原來是不少大企業的生產基地，地震重創了民眾的生活，也破壞了生產。災後，當地企業在提供物質和服務，支援身心受創的災民方面，扮演重要角色。例如綿陽市的長虹電子集團，不少員工同樣失去家人，但亦積極投入志願工作行列。 一年過去，不少國際性志願組織，仍然留在災區提供醫療復康等服務。來自香港的紅十字會成員，如何協助災民重建家園，開展新生活呢？另外，亦有香港團體引入網絡醫療設備，連線川港兩地，利用新科技遙距支援災區？有關方面估計，災後重建要八年時間，此時此刻，地震災民最需要的甚麼？
