莊陳有：「我從六歲時開始失明，當然遇到非常大的困難，我逐漸了解到，原來失明只不過失去了一個器官，我仍然可以和其他人一樣追求快樂，在生活中創造，在教育和就業方面雖然遇到困難，但是我都可以克服，完成了大學教育，對社會作出貢獻，我希望在此鼓勵各位朋友，可能你在生活、在經濟，在其他方面遇到困難，但是只要你有信心勇氣向前走，你總會找到出路的。」
