March 8th is International Women’s Day, when people everywhere pay tribute to the varied achievements of women past, present and future. In Hong Kong, most women are no longer progenitive tools. They have many other choices. But progress has made Hong Kong's fertility rate one of the lowest in the world. Producer Siu Sin Chan finds out why Hong Kong women are having fewer kids. Also, some women want to have kids but face barriers to balancing career and motherhood. With our dismal fertility rate, the government has dished out some benefits to parents, but experts say a comprehensive population policy is needed.
